LOT. My next track should be...?
Discussion
Hi all. I have an Elise 111r and hope to get a few TD's in this year. A nice resolution if there was any
Two years ago I did three and none since then. My first was Goodwood, then Le Mans Bugatti and then a rather wet Silverstone evening session that was curtailed due to a flooding circuit.
I enjoyed Goodwood the most as it was a super atmosphere and the other cars were generally comparable to my at the time 111s. I was a bit intimidated by Le Mans as I was swamped with turbo'd VXR's and Atoms.
I live in the Midlands so am pretty well placed for most tracks.
Any advice on 'must do' tracks or on a way forward from here please?
Here is the list for LOT this year: http://www.lotus-on-track.com/events.html
Look forward to your thoughts.
Nick.

Airfields sound so boring, don't they? I thought so, but there was a cheap one going near me last August, so I thought "Why not?". Best decision I ever made.....
They give you the opportunity to drive your car at 101% without the risk of remodelling it on the armco or tyre walls. And with a good organiser they will also have some interesting cone-designed bends to test your handling skills. I had four high speed spins with no damage, and when I took a corner slightly too wide all I got was an orange cone mark on the side of the car - I could have T-cut it out, but I have kept it there to remind myself how much fun I had.

Thank you all for the input. I need to have a session with my diary
Nick
I'm in Nottingham & regularly take my Lotus to Donington for the Bookatrack evening track sessions. They're great, never too busy or intimidating, & always well managed. Good value too. Dates should be released soon.

Fast, wide, slippery in anything but good conditions, bit dull in an Elise. It is after all an F1 circuit, and really best in very, very fast cars.
Thanks for that. You kindly took me round Goodwood in your Elise if you recall?
Just looking at dates on LOT tonight.nick_j007 said:

Very thank you. Have a 111r now for a change
Let me know if you take any LOT dates as I might be there too. Cheers.
