Hi Bart,
I've been a Lux resident for almost 15 years now... Did your new employers provide you with some temporary accommodation whilst you're finding your way? If not, have a look at Domus (different locations) or the Ponte Vecchio in Luxembourg-Neudorf (on rue de Neudorf) as they have short term studios available.
For longer term accommodation or flat shares, try looking on chronicle.lu or wort.lu, or posting an ad looking for the same on either place.
Happy to help you out more in person if you pm me.
Good luck with the move; it's a lovely part of the world to live in.

The other alternative is to do what most people who work in Luxembourg do and live in France, Belgium or Germany. Depending on where you go, where you'll be working and how early you get up it's not hard to be in Luxembourg in 30 minutes most days. There are also some reasonable public transport links. Most importantly housing is MUCH cheaper. I live just over the border in France and if my house was a mile to the north it would double in value. There are some rental properties in my village available at the moment so if this helps feel free to pm me too.

All true enough - I didn't fancy all the extra administration, so opted to live in Lux. If you live in the region of Thionville, Hettange or even Longwy, you can spend a lot of time sat in traffic, and SNCF do like to strike!Germany's not a viable option if you need to travel outside of Lux a lot for work; you quickly become liable for German taxes in addition to those already paid in Lux.
It's a real struggle to find anything in Lux, I had found what I thought were decent places, which for the most part are just scams.
Looking on line it's tough to see which is real and which isn't. Is there any property agents people can recommend?
I've looked on the usual forums and such, and you either do not receive a reply, or receive a dodgy email.

Would anybody be able to confirm this company is genuine or not please?

You have their company registration number, TVA registration and bank IBAN. You can google any of those.
I suspect it is genuine, even though Lux is home to many parent company shells.
I also have the email address of someone who's leaving Lux and moving more your way to Singapore (!) and needs to break their apartment contract; could be cheaper than going through an agent. I'll email it to you.
