So far I have had 3 drive shafts brake.
2 of them have been bad enough that the car will not go since it seems to have sheered completely and the other time there was a rattling sound coming and the dealer confirmed that it needed replacing ...
I have to say that it is becoming just a little! annoying since two of the times all I can do is call the RAC and wait to be rescued.

can't get anything past you guys!
Not done that in a long time, but even if that was an issue, how about gear box, clutch etc, surely all these are weaker parts in the chain and would go first as opposed (to a faultys, or problem somewhere) solid driveshaft ??
