Very bloomin excited!! Picking up in a couple of weeks when I'm back from Middle East.

Even mrs safe is, well excited isn't the word, maybe terrified is more apt!

Total respect. What a tool!

My friend had a 300bhp Cosworth Fisher Fury, that was mad enough.... :-)

I've got a 450 bhp Phoenix, great track car,Ok on full wets in the rain, but it is undrivable on road tyres if the road is even a little damp so be carfull and enkoy it.

Hello berw,
Thanks, I intend to be very careful if there's any moisture about. Am thinking track days only for the first few drives.

What is your engine spec?

Nice! A v8 is the only engine configuration I've never owned, am saving it for the dancing donkey purchase when I'm old enough to know better!

Really struggling to be patient to go and pick up my new toy. Where are you based? I'm in Wiltshire.

Lets see some pics!

It does seem to resemble the white Westfield I've seen on you tube doesn't it! No sequential gearbox though. I wonder what our 0-100 times will be in the bone dry? Any thoughts? Or should that be any traction!

I was fancying this myself, just cannot bring myself to part with my current Westy.

The seller knows his Westy's, he gave me some pointers on my Nitrous setup over last winter having installed it on his previous Zetec Westy.

Crippo, you car is the one I was refering to! Ruari was driving me gently down a French ring road years back, then suddenly I was pinned in the seat for about 10 seconds, rock solid and stable, then hanging on the harnesses for a few more as we slowed down. "That was 140" he shouted, I assume he meant km/h.. :-)

  • From memory he worked at MIRA, and once told me he drove it through the MIRA speed trap at an official 165mph.....In a Fury....

He told me it had one careful owner....lol

Actually I have done quite abit to it and its definately running noticeably more power and is more reliable. It needed a new clutch as the original couldnt cope with the power in 5th gear.

Are you keeping the aeroscreen?

I can tell you now your Mrs won't be so exited when, on a lovely summer's evening, you decided to go for a blat in the great British countryside to a country pub and she has to put a skid lid on! Also if you get caught out in a rain shower.....you get wet! Are you considering a screen or are you going to brave it? By the way dont even think of driving it without a lid on I've seen the consequences of a tiny piece of grit hitting an Atom driver's eyeball at 70mph! yikes

Great car though, mine has just under 200bhp, it handles beautifully and is perfectly balanced that thing must be mad! smile
