Any thoughts on these? Expensive, I know but think of the reduction in unsprung weight.

They are 7kg each for the FRONT and 8kg REAR.
How does that compare to standard 4.0RS wheels?
EDIT - Some interesting comparisons on here - http://www.944racing.de/wheelweights.php

I read somewhere that 4.0 OE wheels are 23/27 lbs or 10.4 kg Front and 12.2 kg Rear. I'm sure someone has better data though....How does that compare to standard 4.0RS wheels?

I helped develop a car that had carbon wheels. My experience was not positive. Carbon does not like multi impact which makes them vulnerable for daily road use. They are also awful at helping retaining heat in the tyre which also compromises track performance as pressures were always fluctuating.
I'd go for a decent set of metal wheels if I were you

19" OZ Superforgiata Forged wheels are 7.8Kg front & 9.7Kg rear for half the price.
CF may be a bit lighter, but as Steve says, they're a whole lot less durable.
Yes that's right I have a set of these and they are amazing the lightest wheels I have ever held in my hands!!!CF may be a bit lighter, but as Steve says, they're a whole lot less durable.
Fronts are 7.3kg and rears are 8.7kg for the turbo.
SIZE HOLES ET KG
8.5x19 5 49 7,34
8.5x19 5 53 7,33
10x19 5 61 8,03
11x19 5 45 8,80
11x19 5 51 8,71
11x19 5 65 8,44
12x19 5 51 9,14
12x19 5 68 8,87
Have been lucky enough to secure a set of Dymags for my Boxster which have been used for daily driving and trackdays for the past 4 years. Have not had any problems with durability, and have even had them refurbished in the lacquer after transport damages from getting the car trailered home from Nurburgring.
Have probably done slightly less than 20,000 miles on the wheel now in those 4 years.
They are standard 986 18" fitments, made to measure for the car, and sit much more nicely on the car than the standard 18" sport design wheels I use for winter tyres.
It is a noticeable difference in steering weigh and feel and even on accelleration every spring when the Dymags are fitted again. Such a massive improvement on the car to have that reduction in unsprung weight. Cannot recommend it enough.
Plus it's a bragging rights game to have one of only 3 sets of Dymags in Denmark
