How to get from Krakow to Slovakia Ski Resorts......?
Discussion
Next month there is a group of us flying to Krakow for a couple of days to do the usual sightseeing stuff and a bit of eating / drinking, and then from there we are heading into Slovakia for a weeks skiing in a resort called Jasna in the Low Tatras.
When we visited Slovakia last year we flew into Bratislava, and it couldn't have been easier getting a train out to the mountains, however this time it seems as though we have slightly overlooked how we are going to get from Krakow to the ski resort....! The train is a non starter as it somehow manages to take around 11 hrs.....
, and hiring a car is out as there is quite a large group of us.
Are there any PH'ers who know of company's which provide transfers to the Slovakian resorts from Krakow....? Any other suggestions more thann welcome!

How about forgetting Slovakia and going ski-ing in the Polish Tatra's at Zakopane? Stunning, cheap and only a short hour and a half drive from Krakow. It seems mad that the train should take as long as you say. How many of you are there? What about hiring a private coach? Surely the Slovak side of the Tatra's can be accessed from the Zakopane Polish side can't it, or would you need a Sherpa? Bratislava is further from the Tatra's than Krakow is. Sounds like a great trip anyhow, you should have a blast. Went to Zakopane ski-ing 3 years on the bounce in the mid 90's. Stayed at the Kasprowy and had a wonderful time. All lads I take it?

Haha, surprisingly its not all lads, although I am single so any 'recommendations', drop me a PM....!
We are already booked in at a Chalet in Jasna, so another resort isn't an option unfortunately. There's around 15 of us in total, a couple of groups of mates who've decided to all meet up out there. Think that the idea of hiring a large mini bus is probably best so far, I actually found a company online who does transfers from Krakow, but they haven't responded to my inquiry yet, was a good few days ago now, so I'm guessing they're either no longer running or can't accommodate us.

Hey,
We used a company based in Slovakia (i think it may be poprad-krakow.sk)was pretty good, we got picked up in a mini bus, on time from the airport. If memory serves it worked out around €10 p/p.. yeah i know...! If i can find the info i'll post again, we arranged it thru facebook and everything worked out well.
Enjoy your time there, its often overlooked for a getaway and if i had time id be there just now, pity it isnt more accessible at the moment in terms of transport. If you get halfa chance visit the medieval town of Levoca, theres a ski centre there and a cracking bar in the town, one of the best steaks i've had!
