Festival of Motoring Event May Bank Holiday
Discussion
Stratford upon Avon is the location for a Festival of Motoring, just thought as there is a Hill Road Run combined with a Treasure Hunt around the cotswolds over the two days May 5th and 6th, TVRs blasting around Warwickshire and Gloucestershire sounds good, there is limited numbers planned so if interested follow this link for more info and to book and pay on line £15 for one day £20 for both days.
Could appeal to those who want to camp or B&B and stay around the area.

I contacted the organisers to see if there was a block booking available, sadly no, its everyone for themselves, but if enough of us can get in we can meet up for a blast!!
There is also going to be a Supercar Display area, that you can exhibit your P&J .
I will book some sunshine while I am online!!

Last I heard they were in the process of finalising the exact location in the town, but assured me it would be hard standing, along Waterside near the theatre, or Henley Street, near Shakespeare's BirthPlace, both pedestrianised areas were most likely. These have been used before by the Heritage Run and Motorbike gatherings, it is in conjunction with Tourism Stratford so makes an extra spectacle for visitors to the town.
Anything else I find out I will post on here.
Not been mentioned but only a short walk from town centre there are 2 outdoor tarmac carparks one at Bridgefoot by the visitor centre and one on the recreation ground on the other side of the river opposite the Royal Shakey Theatre, that could be used I suppose.

Hi, for those of you who have taken the camping option, I took my other half for a meal at The Cottage of Content, for Valentines, and I must say, excellent food and service, a lot smaller than I remember though, 9 tables of 2 in the restaurant plus a few tables in the bar area, so if you plan to eat in it might be best to book. There is a varied menu, or there are specials on set nights where it is 2 for £10, Steak Chips and peas on one night, or Fish on another night, a very warm, genuine welcome and the beer is good, as is the chardonnay.
I am attending but I live in Stratford so will be sleeping on floor under a sheet in lounge just to feel like I am camping.
There are several guys attending who have booked camping at "The Cottage of Content" at Barton, its a quaint old country pub with a small campsite behind and a very small but excellent restaurant/ bar with real ales just a few miles away.
B&Bs with parking are plentiful around the area, but it is very close to Shakespeare's Annual Birthday Bash which attracts thousands of visitors so could be getting booked up,if you need any suggestions of potential places, let me know.

I managed to contact the organisers, and if OK with you, it is possible to swop entries to someone else. Just need to get the pack they sent delivered to the substitute attendee.

Mike, we have sent out all the route books to the booked entrants.
If the two TVR owners know each other I am perfectly happy if they just swap.
