Been clearing out our loft in preparation for a house move, and idle-y flicking though my treasured collection of old Performance Car magazines (although SWMBO actually has a much differing opinion, that this is stuff due for recycling.... tut! The uneducated.....) when I came accross the initial first drive of the 4.0L Chimeara in the May 1993 edition.

Thought that some of you might want to enjoy the article:

The big difference now is the Chimaera is going to be worth 6 to 10 k and the Healy up and over 50k !

Loved that. It's true I remember many yrs ago standing by one at the motorshow, almost frightened me, lol. Now I own one and it still does!

I have a copy of this issue and it was that article that had me torn between the Griffith and Chimaera. The Griffith won out, obviously! tongue out Great article though. smile

Hopefully when our cars are 40/50 yrs old they might be recognised abit more.... Hopefully. Just imagine the sanitised silent boxes in 20 yrs time, people will see the beauty, even if there's no petrol about!

Thank my good lady????

It's an ongoing battle to ensure that I maintain full custodianship of my collection of bike and car magazines!!!!! If she had her way, the whole lot would be unceromoniously dumped into a paper recycling skip..... (heathen!!!)

Glad you enjoyed the read!
