Dodgy wrist

Anyone every heard of a tendon ganglion cyst?
Had issues with wrist pain since getting back on my MTB of late which has now developed into one of these freakish little lumps on the inside of my wrist. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganglion_cyst

Doc wasn't too helpful on how to avoid making it worse/better. I think (know actually) I am putting too much weight (plenty of it still ) through my arms. Maybe worth getting my LBS to sort out fitting on my bike?

I used to ride my hybrid with straight bars on the road a lot and often got pains in my wrists.

Since I've changed to a road bike, I do 95% of the miles resting on the brake hoods. Not a pain since. Why not try some bar ends?
