Mine doesn't work when you open the doors, only when you disarm the alarm!

Mine didn't work properly, had the alarm/immoboliser replaced by Carl Baker and he fixed it.....trouble is, I haven't a clue what he did

I do know they are wired up "backwards" as it were, so if, for example you "upgraded" to an LED it won't work (DAMHIK).

By backwards I mean the outer shell of the bulb has the +12V connection and the earth goes via the switches to what would normally be the positive terminal..

Yep! I discovered that when I upgraded to an LED. I ended up swapping two of the incoming spade connectors around, which means that it works in the "switched" position (i.e. when you unlock or open the doors) but not when you put the switch into the permanently on position because the bulb has the same voltage on both sides. One day I might figure out a way of making it work fully, but for now I'm happy with it the way it is.

Hopefully the smaller current draw of the LED would take much longer to drain the battery if the light ever got stuck on for any reason.

On charge when in garage it's one of those stupid things I want to fix
You have to close the doors at are gaff or you get 2 little nobheads rehearsing for the touring cars (locked)
