ECU port thing

I've been given some kit to test out to look at the ECU via my laptop.

Anyone know where the OBD? port is on a 2000 3 series?

I bought one and used it on the m3. You will find it under the dash on the right hand side of the stearing wheel. It is quite far under, close to the bonnet release and has a flap.

I'll have another look. I'm told by the supplier that 99/00 cars may not have it.
