2 litre K-Series (R500 Evo motor) - where to take it now?

As a proud owner of a ballistic 2 litre K-Series built by Minister I was very sad to hear that Minister is no more, at least as I knew it.

Where would people here recommend I take the engine now for future refreshes/rebuilds? Not interested in who may or may not be cheaper, simply who is the best out there for serious K-series work.

Can you post on here please too...I have the same issue. I am told Boss are good...i would go as far as to say that all of the regular Caterham servicing outfits are not suitable and from what I have heard, several of the good Minister guys are actually working for Caterham...so mine may end up there....

Rob at Boss Racing is who looks after my car currently. He's ex-factory and knows the cars better than anyone left at the factory, in my opinion. He happens to be a top bloke too. I can't recommend him highly enough and I shan't be going anywhere else for anything to do with the rest of the car but just wanted to know who was taking over from Minister as the best place to take a k-series. If there was one?

There used to be countless engine builders claiming more power for less money than Minister, what happened to all of them and which ones were thought to be particularly good?

Graeme Fuller still owns the Minister International name and last I heard was going to resurrect that. The issue for me is that the good guys at Minister Power had to find alternative employment when that business was wound up.

One is an electrician now, for example and another works for Caterham on a contractual basis, I believe.

I have also heard very good things about Rob Singleton at Boss Racing but confess to no direct experience of either outfit.

I'm glad the word is getting around about Rob, he was always the most clued-up guy at the factory when I took my car there. He's also racing his own Seven in the Mag Sevens series this year.

Trouble is that makes the guy who's preparing my car also a competitor...

But was unable to map an mbe 967 on a car I had....maybe that was a one off?... But he did build the engine.....

One more vote from me for Rob at Boss Racing who came highly recommended. E-mail me for details. He recently serviced my K-series R500 which was previously maintained by Minister, very happy, & as an ex Caterham employee he has an eye for detail over the whole car as well as engine work.
