errors in motec m800 help please

having a problem at the moment with engine every so offen engine sticking at various idles anything upto 3000 after full throttle.... blip the throttle and it dissapears..ive listed below screen shot of errors ... its ls7 with motec m800 osftware...any help please... we have just reset tplo and tphi since reading these errors...please help with ideas, or could it just be the tp weve just adjusted.

Can't help with the Motec software but before you spend too much time looking into that I would check the throttle butterfly itself. It could be sticking.

Hi Dom,

I see you're online in the screen shot but is the engine running? If not try with the engine running and see if you still get the error.

If it is still their you may want to check check the pick up (lower aft right side of block) is secured (you have to watch the bolt length) and that the connector is clean and connected. Also check that the wiring hasn't been burnt on the headers if they run close to the pick up.

Are you running IAC? If so this sometimes affects TPS just after warm up sequence.

If your not running IAC its pointing towards the throttle position sensor, if wiring, plugs etc seem ok try swapping the throttle body with somebody local.

Tim Adams is in your area, if you don't manage to sort it you could give him a shout... He deals with alot of motec systems.

Hi Dom,

As mentioned you will get a ref/sync error if the engine isn't running. Does it happen when you have the engine running? From what you said above it sounds like it but it wasn't clear.

hi sorry yes faults clear after start up. Thankyou....
engine still hads the problem.
throttle possition sensor changed and same faults.
spoke to Motec today and they have suggested i recalibrate throttle again as ive set zero to tick over settings when it should be with throttle completely shut not at tick over... will try that but thats not the problem im sure... i recon if its electronic it manifold pressor sensor or fuel pressure... but i dont know base settings to compare against.

Im into carb engines with MSd so not used to these data and electronics.

Is the engine a manual throttle ? does it have a throttle air bypass valve? What does the ignition map look like at low loads?
