Interesting performance estate required - labrador friendly
Discussion
Looking at S4 Avant / C280/350 Sport / D3 Bi-turbo Alpina - wondered if anyone has had similar requirements ?. Previously had V70 ( good dog/load carrier but lacking driver involvement) and not sure regarding the Audi A4 / BMW 3 series rear space as with an ageing labrador she needs a bit of room and if possible low rear floor height.

The problem is the v70 is very good at what it does, might not be a drivers car but neither are any of the cars listed above and neither do any of them provide the same room for your dog. I've a v70 awd that I use for carting the Dog about, its only the 2.4t but goes well. Not sure what model you have but a t5 might be worth considering. To get a real 'Drivers' estate I think you need to be looking at m5 tourings or AMG estates. A legacy spec b might be a good compromise but not really any quicker if at all than a v70 t5.
I've all ways fancied a forester sti only available as an import but looks fun.

Have been looking at M5 Tourings ( choking slightly at the potential maintenance/running costs ) & I do like the C63 AMG estate (not sure about space though and not many under 30k at present) - Forester not my cup of tea though. You're right about the practicality of the Volvos I just want something different, more ' exciting' to drive, stylish & well built that our dog can travel in too.
Thanks for your input anyway.

335i touring would be good - boots on the later 3 series are pretty good. I went from a 330d to a s4 which is fantastic - but 335i best of both worlds and running costs way down on an M5. If you want the size of an m5 touring though try an S6 v10 Avant - cheaper to buy than an M5 so something left in the kitty for running costs!

Have considered a 335i Touring also - how does the 330 you had compare to the S4 ?Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
