My mrs arrived home tonight with the sprog at around 17:30 to announce that their was a black cat sat outside. I opened the door to investigate and sure enough their was a black cat sat outside who immediately came in and made himself at home like he had always lived here !

He was purring like a machine gun and spent 5 minutes playing with the little un. We had never seen him before so put him back outside.

10 minutes later he is still sat outside wowing at about 100 decibels so we let him back him and he continues playing with the little un where he left off.

Luckily he had a collar and tag so we called the owner who lives about a mile away. He had been missing for a day. They came and picked him up.

But why us ?

Lol yeah our cat died about a year ago and the Mrs said we would never have another. I know a 7 year old that will take some more convincing ....

Well, if he comes back, you've got a new cat.
