Any thoughts on somewhere cheap to go in March for a seasoned traveller?

Ideally;

be hot (or at least warm)
be cheap-ish
have some culture
have some beaches
have some activities
be off the beaten track

must be reasonably safe for a single backpacker

Was looking to go to Croatia, but a bit too early in the year for it to be hot, although I guess it ticks the other boxes. Sardiana as well would be nice, but too early there too.

Any other suggestions? Places like Cape Verde sound nice, but hotels are reasonably expensive, and there isnt a whole lot to do I dont think? Other than that French Polynesia has always tickled my fancy, but its not exactly cheap to get there.

EDIT: dont worry if I dont reply for a while - out the country next week so no internet. I'll have a look when Im back though.

Morocco, Israel, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt all spring to mind.

North Africa is usually warm, depends on your budget really, Dubai should be hotter.

Budget? Cost of getting to Thailand/Vietnam/Cambodia etc offset by the cheap cost once you're there. South Africa also.

Cheaper would second Morocco including a trek through the Atlas mountains.
