OK it's synthetic oil, so which and where to buy?
Discussion
I have just read the excellent threads posted by Opieoilman
www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=66&t=123316
www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=122195
and the expert opinions of shpub ....
and I am now convinced that I must put only the best synthetic oil in my Chimaera. So the choice would seem to be:
Mobil motorsport (10w-40?), but do I have to go to France to buy it?
Silkolene Pro-S 5W-40 or 10w-50?
Any others, and can anyone tell me where best to buy it from? I plan to supply it to my Austec myself next time, and maybe get them to change the oil now as I have done about 3000 miles since it was changed.

I've just ordered some Silkolene Pro S 10w-50 from opieoilman himself. He can supply Mobil 1 motorsport (as well as a wide range of other stuff) if you prefer. Prices are cheaper than halfwits but not as cheap as a Calais hypermarket.
