Just trying to think of something to do with a few mates one day soon. We've done karting to death and not looking at track days or anything like that...something like a good museum would be good though.

Any suggestions?

Go to a local rally event. Wrap up warm, take a thermos, plenty of pasties and crisps and a folding chair. Sit back and enjoy. Wyedean is soon.

Transport museum in Glasgow

Book train tickets well in advance and they're super cheap.

The Jap drag events at Santa Pod are a good day out.

And, they have that Fire Force jet car thing.... evil, loud, terrifying, skill.

Thanks for suggestions - I'm thinking along the lines of beaulieu or brooklands/mb world.

Something sort of interactive (i.e. - not 'No Touching Please') would be nice.

Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon is worth a look IMO, and once you're done have a drive up and down the B4100.

Gaydon (no giggling at the back please!) has an amazing collection. Some of the prototypes make you think 'what if....'

Always a cracking day out.

Even better, if you've got some junior petrolheads who are
at least 1.5m tall, this gives them full playground bragging rights

http://www2.mercedes-benz.co.uk/content/unitedking...

Not cheap, but the look on their little faces as you explain
they get the chance to drive a real car ;->

Forget Beaulieu then.

AndrewD went to Brooklands the other day, posted some fab pics. I'd go there just to poke around Concorde let alone all the other stuff.
