I'm thinking of having the cerb wrapped in one of these vinyl coverings.
has anyone had any experiences?

I'm a bit worried as the bonnet can get a bit hot and I can't imagine a viynl covering lasting any length of time.

would like a full respray, but to have it done properly sounds costly

One thing you need to realize is that when the rap meets the edge of doors bonnets boots there is going to be a note able join
And there are limits to how much it can bend and follow contours
Dispute what the seller/fitter tells you go in to it with an open mind and don't expect it to look like its been sprayed on
Plus there is a risk of de valuing your car

My brother runs a very modified Noble GTO with no heat problems. Tracks it a lot too ! Look for him on noble forum ( Tuxman ). There are a number of pictures of his car. I would say where u go to have it done will be the biggest difference to end result ! The people wrapping it should be able to say if heat would be a problem but I can't imagine a Cerb putting out more heat than a 600bhp twin turbo noble smile

Boss dog , according to other people's opinion did a great job , the joins are not an issue , the car looks pleasantly seamless , with a couple of points that are slightly less desirable .

Problem , have been pulled twice for my car not matching the log book, and the police on both occasions have no idea about the rules on wrapping cars, and it's not like you need any extra help getting pulled whist driving a massively loud extremely fast sports car.

But as for heat off the bonnet no issues.

One thing though you do need a well prepped surface as it picks up every detail .

Importantly the new stuff comes off really easily and does not damage the underneath and just leaves all small amount of residue , plus it gauranteed fir 3 years , basically it's great , but if I had 5 gee I would an indigo cascade or similar wink

i am concerned about the durability of the wrap , i doubt that after 3 years its look very good at all , there is a couple of spots where it has come into conflict with people trying to park , i imagine the plasticoat would have very little durability at all , plus i assume you wouldnt be able to wax it , but its chaep and if you got the time then why not.
