ETB Instruments LTD, Leigh on Sea Essex, 01702 711127. They fixed my Tacho & oil Pressure gauges, knew all about TVR instruments.

Called ETB who explained I had a 'Stewart Warner' speedo and that they couldn't repair them - starts at 1 o'clock and ends at 11 o'clock.

They were good enough to suggest Speedy Cables and even gave the phone no. 01639 732213.

I will be sending both the transducer and speedo for them to look at.

Just a quick update, I've been quiet recently as the last job is to get the speedo and transducer fitted and I should be finished. If I haven't got a signal from the transducer to the ECU the car thinks it's ticking over all the time, so no good for driving (you can tell this as you change gear it seems to die on you).

Speedy Cables got back to me and said that both the speedo and transducer were bust, they can't get hold of the microchip to replace this but they can change the guts. So I'll end up with something that looks almost the same - execpt I'll have a digital mileometer! - £120 + VAT

The real good news is they are going to repair the transducer - £35 + VAT - which isn't at all bad as the cost of a new one is £93 inc VAT from rover.

Should get them back early next week!!!
