Fellow PH'ers, I seek your wisdom, or best advice.

I have a need to sell my 3rd car. The tax has expired as of the 01/01/2013 and so has the insurance. I plan to sell it within the next 28 days. It is currently parked on the road outside my house. I need to insure it and tax it ASAP so I can use it legally over the said time period. (Although its use it not essential, however I would need to move it to a private drive way about 18 miles away and therefore it is... loop...)

The tax is not a problem, but I need insurance to purchase it said tax.

Any recommendations to insurance companies that insure a car for a 1 month period? I did a search on line and I got a quote of £250, now with the cost of the tax I think I might be best just selling it to webuyany*** or such like.

My main concern is if I get a years’ worth of insurance on an instalment basis I will be penalised for cancelling it after 1 month but it would be the cheapest option if I did not.

Any thoughts?

Many thanks,

Gwiz

Edit:

Oh the car is a 05' plate Prem edition Civic Type R

ecar.com does pay monthly policies. They are risk priced accordingly, but not outrageously so.
