Bracknell Meet - Thursday 17th January
Discussion
The first meet of 2013 is booked for Thursday 17th January, from 7:30pm, and is at our new venue, Pinewood Bar & Cafe. We went there for our mini Christmas meet and everyone thought it would be ideal for our regular meets, so your wish is my command!

There is a massive car park - as you come in turn left into the car park nearerst to the cafe. Food is very cheap and cheerful and there is a range of grill/burgers, chips etc. OK, so it's a bit of a step down from Peacock Farm but is a fraction of the price (80p for tea/coffee!).
Directions
If you're approaching from the M4 direction, continue as if you were going to Peacock Farm, but as you come off the A329(M), take a right at the roundabout (instead of left to Peacock Farm). Continue down the road for about a mile and then turn right into the Pinewood Leisure Centre. If you miss the turning, carry on down to the roundabout to turn around. http://goo.gl/maps/oiu8y
Approaching from Sandhurst/Camberley/M3 direction, head up to Bracknell as normal, but turn left at the roundabout with Nine Mile Ride. Straight ahead at the next mini roundabout (for TRL) and then right at the next roundabout onto Old Wokingham Road. Turn left into Pinewood Leisure Centre after about 100m. http://goo.gl/maps/idsyN

There is a long table behind the fishtank where we sat last time, which was very good for socialising, so we'll try to get that one again, although there were plenty of other tables we could put together.
Hope to see you there.
PS The parrot is called Charlie.
PPS This place is also on site (http://www.pinewoodraceway.com/page2.html) anyone fancy this one night?!

I'm looking forward to this. It's nothing like the meets at Peacock Farm - the food isn't to that standard - they don't try to be a gastro-pub, but what they do is good and very cheap. Mostly though it's a very good venue for a meet, much more social than being split across 3 tables in a pub. In fact usually at the pub, most people spend half the night outside "tyre-kicking" whereas at the last meet at Pinewood we all spent most of the pub inside talking around one bit table! Much better.
