Some times "good things come to he who waits" or is it " to good to be true". But it would be worth the fuel to go and see it at that price,

I hope its as nice as it sounds, plus he says its a px so pound notes might get a better deal if he just wants to get rid of it.
Good luck mate. You will have to us all know if you bought it, or if its not quite as it looks.

I was interested in the OP's blue one but live too far away.
Its been on ebay at least once before and currently has a number of declined offers.
If anyone has had a look and can confirm its condition is good or bad I might take a day trip...

First off, its a pre serp. LT77 gear box and no PAS. Not what I'm looking for.

The carpets were out of the car drying out somewhere else, meaning its seen a considerable amount of water ingress. Instrumentation lighting doesn't work, along with the twisty knob that allows you to get out ofthe car. You have to roll the windows down to get out. So quite how that passed its MOT I don't know. The hood isn't in very good order and will need refurbishing/replacing.

Outriggers appeared quite good. Did have a quick poke around underneath, and although mucky, it seemed solid.

Did go out for a ride in it, and after a few miles of a pretty unwell Rover V8 and some considerable diff shunting I knew I would decline the offer of a drive if it was offered.

That combined with no service history to speak of, I promptly left. Thanks, but no thanks. Not for that money anyway.

I don't know what lucky bugger beat me to the Cosmos blue one on eBay, but it appears alot of car for the money. Git ranting lol

Ah finding a half decent project is a nightmare, theyre all either too high a price because they are in a decent condition or at the right price with too many different problems. Id rather have something with a dead engine or a solid runner that just looks a state, did it come across like he would drop the price a bit on it? I might go try that pink one in Kent and paint it.

Im waiting for this to be relisted properly or at a lower price, spider senses were tingling too much with it last time http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=1...

The body looks mint, and starmist blue is one of the best colours aswell, Perhaps an LS conversion is on the horizon for someone?

Absolutely perfect, that would be on a trailer first thing Saturday morning and probably on the road by the end of the month.

I'm in London irked

I have this problem every time that I get set into the idea of my next car, it always makes me more determined to get what I want and something normally turns up just before I'm about to do something stupid through desperation biggrin

I just wish i was in a position to save one of these, as they will just get worse and more people will look and walk away because of the work / cost involved to bring them back to their former glory.
Why do people leave them to get into such a state, i understand that some have other cars that take priority but as your only toy and to leave it to just "die" is borderline criminal.
We should apply for a lottery grant and start the TVR preservation society to save a Great British icon .smile

Ditto. That's just too far away. Would cost an arm & a leg to get it trailered back frown

I thought about doing the same with that one too. But come selling time, with a colour change recorded on the V5 and HPi, it will be harder to sell on...

Ad says:
No Tax or MOT, is in roadworthy condition, had it inspected about 2 months ago and no major faults could be found.

That being the case why doesn't he get it MOT'd. A 12 month ticket would probably add £500+ to the price.
