She's a '95 Carrera 2 tiptronic

It's a private sale, I confirmed the purchase on Christmas Day and paid a deposit on Boxing Day.

The owner seems a great guy, he has looked after the car very well and can tell he is a true enthusiast. I had such a good vibe about the guy that I didn't even check the service history of the car! I did have an almighty hang-over though as the night before I seriously heavy house party hehe

He was selling on 911uk, so I checked out his previous posts to find out about the car. I also read some quite good reviews about his car from other posters. So I knew it was a decent car before I went to view.

So you haven't checked the print date on the service book, and that the build label on the inside front cover matches the under bonnet build sticker then?

The build stickers that have the matching chassis number on them, that matches the one on the bulkhead and displayed in the front screen?

The build stickers that should match in the service book and under the bonnet, and match with the bulkhead and windscreen chassis numbers, that show what options came with the car?

wink

If that's Rallyeman's car, you've got an absolute beauty for peanuts. Saw it at Brooklands, and it is fantastic.

I have been trying to convinve some of my chums and colleagues to buy it for a while, but all are too scared of their wives! Only downside to that car is that nothing seems to need doing - and some of the fun is in fiddling with it!

Well, MOT is due in Feb! So I'll let you know if things need doing!

I'm hoping to pick the car up tonight. Just waiting for confirmation thatthe finance is paid off, then I can tranfer the balance to the Owner. then fingers crossed i'll pick the car up on my way home from work smile

Yahoooo, nothing better (well ok, maybe one) than picking up a new motor. Hope you enjoy her.

What did you think of your 350C by the way? It was a close call when I bought my 993 to go for a 350C.

The T350c was a wonderful experience, but it was sort of a sweet and sour feeling when she left.

I've recently moved house which meant I no longer had a garage. This meant I had to leave her outside in all weather, the summer months was not a problem but the cold wet wintery months really take their toll. The car leaked when it rained and also warning beeps from the engine were common due to sensors getting wet.

I bought a car cover for her, but putting that on and off was a PITA. I found myself not wanting to drive the car which defeats the object of having it.

Apart from that the car was lovely, always had positive comments. The acceleration is so brutal and sounded awesome too, especially with a big bore decat exhaust smile

If I could afford to run 2 cars then I would have kept her.

I'm hoping the Porsche will be better suited for my needs.

Well, I'm not home and my new purchase is parked outside biggrin

Neil spent 2 hours going through the car with me. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

Can't wait for the weekend now when I can have a proper play in daylight.
