I was round at Austec today to check on progress on my long time resident at Austec, and every other car in the shop except one MGB B V8 was an S Two of which (inc mine), at least were V8's. Several others out front too.

Quite strange seeing three all in dark green (two bonnet less) and being tended to, side by side.

C'mon, fess up. Who's are they all ? One had pistonheads across the back above the rear number plate, so flies the flag.

Twas mine....

BRG S3 with decal...

Its been there all week, a long story...

Went in Monday for some tinkering, service, brake upgrade, clutch seals sorted, suspension bushes, exhaust sealing, R/R to get the unichip upgrade back to previous figures...

They have been waiting for a part from Peninsula all week. It finally arrived today, but it turned out when the trailing arms were stripped the parts were not needed it was something much simpler....

Bl00dy frustrating....

But, I picked it up tonight...
Parted with a wedge of cash...
Had a spirited drive home...
The car is running much better and I can stop now too....

You are right, they have had an S fest there all week.

Today...2 V8's, mine, Dark blue S2(from Bristol IIRC) the White/Black 2 tone S3C which was at the S Meet.

There was also a Blue S3 in yesterday, a chap from Brighton I think, he was having the Unichip upgrade, but had some trouble with so its been deferred....

Who's was it...?

That's my one (it's only an S3 not an S3C as it happens). She's almost done now. Has had a total engine rebuild and the wheels given a bit of a polish.

Pricey ! But It'll be worth the wait

I stand corrected...

I saw you wheels from a distance, very shiney...
I think they are using a new local company to austec. Keep us updated on the quality and durability.
