On my travels yesterday I came across an R reg 450 B/R green, bin sat there since 2008, by tax disc? Green mould allover and inside her, trying to get hold of owner, by size of house he ain't poor, what the hell????!!!! Surely it must be rotten, it's in a very damp place and by loads of trees! Can't tell mechanical condition but it has to be worth saving, make a great project! What do you all think! I'm off to an auto test but would be interested in your comments. Al.

Boys the owner is rather hard to get hold of, I sadly can't afford two at the moment so as soon as I have some news I will post, if I can help to get it into good hands I'd be only to glad to, I can't seem to upload pics!!! Its upsetting seeing a beauty looking so unloved! fking disgrace if you ask me. To think our cars are becoming barn finds!!!! Looking at property it's a rich man hitting on hard times, right outside the house aswell, very odd.

Indeed it is a disgrace. I am seeing all too many neglected examples out there that are not fit for purpose and are up for too much. Its just not economically viable to pour money into them. You'll never see it back. The ones I have looked at anyway. Can't speak for this 4.5, but I imagine it IS worth saving being newer and more rare.

I know, its coming to something when our cars are worthless in comparison to others, surely it's not just about what there worth, it's the massive pleasure they give, what's that worth, mine works properly( please I'm not tempting fate) because I've sorted the problems others have abused and left undone, spent tons but believe there reliable if the owner is, I love spending the money on her it's a pleasure, bloody earning it ain't, I've wasted 10's of thousands on women so tivvie is still cheap, he he he. All I can do is try and get the car away from it's present predicament so will contact you guys as I can get a phone number and one of us must surely take up the call and give the world back something special. Green hood aswell. My instinct says it's really good, but then I bought mine thinking that! A car has to be loved to be looked after and that's about all it needs, that and engine gearbox riggers etc lol.

you can always ad a picture (or more) by the field you type from your own PC or other computer...on the above lining at the right you see

Upload an image (beta)

press on that and follow instructions and then close that field...
then when you want to ad another picture in the same field open that link again and close afterwards...
more pictures then again the same line...

I'm using my iPhone cos laptops gone south I'll get my lad on it cos I can't upload pics!!! Beta just sits there and does nothing! I'm old school spanner type, comps I'm a wimp! Sorry. Left phone number with neighbour but no call yet! I impressed upon said neighbour that it had to be saved and it would be in expert hands, it's the nuts, mind you even dash top was damp, bubbling up underneath the leather! I'll try to upload again tomorrow when I have a child to make it happen!!!?!!

I share your pain, I've been trying to buy this for a year and a half, and it was apparently in the same spot for two years before that.... frown

These cars may or may not need 'rescuing' but there is a danger in all if this in becoming TVR zealots. Is it any surprise that an owner doesn't respond immediately to some unknown person knocking on their neighbours door suggesting that the car is in need of being 'rescued' and thereby implying what they really mean i.e that it is a "f . . . . . g disgrace." If someone tried this one on me I'd be suggesting where they could go and it wouldn't be polite!

At the end of the day it shouldn't be forgotten that it is their car, they are entitled to do anything they want with it and if they wished to sell it they would probably have sone so by now.

I'll tell you now I was very polite and you mis interpret my intension, excuse me! Maybe the owner just needs a helping hand?!! I have gained huge confidence from other pistoners it's his car, can do whatever he wants, even leave it there for years to rot, bit like your presumptive comment, bks. He can tell me to ps off I'm not bothered I have a cracker already, just trying to do a good deed pal is that ok with you! Back to the point, it's sad but if another owner can't do the car justice then let another Tvr nutter have ago, I have a great 125 gearbox cart. Sat in shed for 5 yrs, mate always asked after it,wouldn't sell it cos one day I'll get it back on track. I know I never will, we all hord stuff but it don't make it right, let a good man who can turn them back to glory have it before its fking dust ??!!!! what do you reckon leave it there!

Chillman I think Adrian Venn would also like that is it a 3000m! My old S2 used to be great to
Wash so many curves and angles in the old ones, I just loved the little bonnet cut out, I miss that car loads, not very fast but still a great car. Am I right in thinking they don't make TVR's anymore? if so then to the people who love them there all precious, maybe the guy with the 450 is the same and one day he'll put it right but somehow I fear not, good god slagged off for mentioning it. Oh and my tong lives on my cheek. Come on Mate read between abit old boy. Thanks anyway.
