After this years race, myself and son 2, would like to travel to the alps, for a further week, to tackle a few of the T de F passes on our bikes. Son 1 though, needs to return home pronto, so has anyone flown to/from the race, from Manchester ?

Quick check doesn't seem to show any flights direct to LM, fair enough, so guessing we would be looking to drop him at Tours/Rouen, perhaps. Don't want to go all the way back to Paris, would seem to far t'other way as we are heading south.

Any thoughts, cadging a lift back would be no good too, needs to get back quick.

Thanks, immediately after posting, I had the same thought, and if the fares are similar in June, then LM to London, via Lille, then taxi to Euston, and home to Manc Piccadilly, comes in at about £150, and travel time of about 12hrs.

Taxi to Euston not really required - 5 mins to talk to Euston from St Pancras and probably quicker on foot

tours airport is an hour south of track via motorway or the old road , which is fantastic.
mate flew in a couple of years ago and we took four cars down for a blast ...all the police were north of track !!
