Could anyone kindly point out which of the above cameras support motorised focus on their respective 50mm 1.8F lens ?

Thanks!

Every canon EOS camera will autofocus with every canon EF or EF-S lens.

Nikons old non af-s lenses wont autofocus on the D3100, you will need to buy the newer more expensive f1.8 instead, which is a good idea as the old one was poor anyhow.

As Rob has said, there are two different 50mm f1.8s for Nikons, and you would need the AF-S lens with the built in silent wave motor for the D3100. But, you might be better off getting the AF-S 35mm f1.8 as this is an effective 50mm on a crop sensor camera.

I find that 50mm on a crop is often too long as once the crop factor is taken into consideration, it is effectively around 70-80mm. I went for the 35mm for my D5100 and IMO it is a much more usable focal length for more situations.
