Based on some comments elsewhere, apparently economy is a bad thing wink

Around 15% country roads plus A road and motorway

A quick motorway run

Whilst I do post tongue in cheek - this is a bizarre combination of a car that will do 70mph at nearly 34mpg, and then accelerate to 100 in low 8s and go around the 'Ring in 7m 37s.

This is definitely a performance car designed as much by the Green Party in Germany and the State Government of California as Walter Rorhl and his friends.

I think you've been mugged, Trouty. That S badge has been stuck on by the dealer post build.

Bloody hell, my E36 barely gets 30mpg if I stick to 70mph and takes nearly 8 secs to get to 60 biggrin Obviously man maths says get the luxo barge.

Well thats it then, no car that does over 30mpg could possibly be exciting.

Very good, will have to seriously look at one of these in four years time. What do you reckon the chances of finding a 4s manual with carbon ceramics is going to be with a budget of £35K?

The 991 in comfort mode has many measures to ensure economy - 7th gear, coast at idle, highest gear possible at all times, rarely above 2,000rpm on the motorway.

And yet you can see I was not going slowly, and cross country I wasn't holding back, if not exactly driving the doors off it.

In Sport+ mode and giving it proper beans, 14-16mpg just like my RS biggrin
