Going to the PEC next week with a relatively early start so am going to stay overnight. Any recommendations?

I would recommend the Narrow Boat at Weedon (on the A5) which is not too far away from the circuit, and it has plenty of parking especially at this time of year.

There's always the Premier Inn. You can't get much closer.

The Holiday Inn Express one junction up on the M1 is cheap, nice enough and about 20 minutes away if the closer options are full.

Premier Inn, The Green Man, Its 4 mins from the entrance, and in the years we have been using it (probably 20 stays), we have dined in the company of a lot of drivers and event teams who use it. You tend to get some good inside info on what is going on in the teams.

Whitlebry Hall is a bit stuffy for our tastes, also on the two occasions we have been there, the service was appallingly slow for evening meal and the other residents were on the pompous side

Never experienced the pomp myself, although it can be a bit corporate at times!

In fairness, we have only stayed there during Silverstone Classic weekends, so it may have something to do with that, but it happened twice.

Maybe its my non-director status, I just prefer a bir of "down-to-earthness".

Bed, wall, ceiling and err...that's about it.

Still, £36 though what more do you need smile

Booked Premier Inn - we will be arriving latish and leaving at breakfast time - hopefully Porsche will give us some breakfast - so no frills needed.

Thanks smile

Well, it would have been if you'd booked it 4 weeks ago smile
