Hi everyone,

Test drove my second 997.2 Turbo today and everything with it was fine, but an audible sort of creaking sounds when going slowly over bumps etc. It didn't sound like the suspension, but appeared to be coming from behind the drivers seat in the rear.

The 1st Turbo I drove didnt have this sound effect, but the one today had a sunroof - is that perhaps why? It's the kind of noise you would expect a seat to make when not firmly fitted in, kind of makes a squeaky creaking sound. Not unbearable, but would be bloody annoying in London and shouldn't happen on an expensive car.

What are your thoughts? I don't want to decline what is the perfect specced car for me, but I suspect Porsche won't be able to sort it....

its just the rear seat belts not sitting over the seats properly - forget about it and enjoy the car

These cars always creak! If you isolate and fix that creak, another will appear after a while.
Need to learn to ignore it!

If you move the rear seats down and then put them back up without readjusting the belt back over the top the rear seat belt gets stuck dow the side and rattles.

Hmmmm, wasn't so much a rattling sound, rather a sort of squeaking sound, similar to leather rubbing against something, perhaps

May have been the seat leather of the bolster rubbing against the centre console.

I found it was the leathered gear surround rubbing against the centre console. Some leather cleaner/feed (Gliptone etc) lightly applied into the join is good at solving the leather squeaks.
