Should i be miffed that someone bought my car, stuck it in a garage for 6 months (mileage is unchanged), fitted a Parrot handsfree and re-advertises it for £2k more than he paid ?

Would you be ?

It's his car, he can do what he wants with it. £2k increase doesn't count unless he actually gets it.

No. You either sold too cheap or, more likely, he'll never sell it for that price.

No. You got a price you were happy with, now he has the encumbrance of ownership and the risk he may never sell it.

If you are miffed, it can only be at your own stupidity if you sold it at an undervalue.

I sold a house in 1982 for £19500 and now they're trying to sell it for £175k. That's capitalism for you. B*stards!

I agree. It's a free market. Just because he advertises at that price, doesn't mean he can sell it at that price.

Would you be annoyed if you sold your house and the new owner sold it for more 6 months later?

No!

You sold it too cheap, if he manages it!

Nope, I'd say good luck to him.

Strange question...

Why?

If he gets the money for it surely you should be annoyed with yourself rather than him?

More likely stuck a st load of miles on it, clocked it back to when he bought it then try's to make 2k selling it to cover the fuel !

He can ask what he wants but he probably wont get it.
I sold a Mitsubishi Galant V6 for £650 4 years ago and it turned up on the side of the road 2 weeks after I sold it for 2 grand... not a chance in hell he got near that for it.

I can't see the problem with it

though i'm a hypocrite as i'm keeping my out for a Gransport and am getting annoyed by Nuvola and ADG Sevenoaks buying up all the cars and then the next day re-advertising them with a 5k markup

Apparently some car dealers buy cars at PX prices and put them on their forecourt for far more. Bloody cheek!

I'd be irrationaly annoyed at the whole situation.

But, not with anyone in particular.
The same sort of anoyance one gets when you buy a thing and the next week see the thing on sale.

Logically you understand.
But part of you still feels you've neen robbed.

To quote my US Marine friend.
Suck it up buttercup, and move on.

Agreed. OP, not sure if you are serious or not really...
