Just bought a cheap station car old Ford Fiesta (don't like leaving the TVR there)but at some point the battery has been disconnected from the radio and it need a code to get it working. Needless to say there was no code with the car (well what do you expect for £330!!). Anyone got any ideas?? Apart from buy a new radio

Paul, I've heard sticking it in the freezer for an hour or so will blank out the memory as the electronic components only work down to a certain temperature. I guess it should reset to 0000 or something ....anyway it's worth a try and as long as you transfer from freezer to fridge then to a colder room and gradually bring back to room temp it shouldn't damage anything.
Let us know if you try and find it works.

Halfords!
I had this problem with a stereo in one of my old cars, i went in there asking for advice and the guy pulled out a big book full of codes. The one for my unit wasn't in there so he made a few phone calls and got it sorted.
If not then the scrap yard i guess, although watch out the you don't have the same problem with one from the yard!

P.S. I tried the freezer thing once before on a kenwood headunit and it didn't work, but it didn't damage the unit at all either...nothing ventured nothing gained, got if fixed by a local ICE shop and it all worked fine.
