Golf R32 - Talk to me
Discussion
Just wondering about these cars (MK4) as they seemed to be somewhat looked over generally. What are the main things to know about them for someone thinking of buying one. Some questions I have
- Why are they so uncommon
- are they durable cars over 100,000 miles as most have a high milage
- What to look for when buying
- insurance
- best modifications
any help would be great at above points

Yes durable and good engines though make sure it has had the ECU upgrade to iron out any flat spots that some suffered.
Buyers guide if you search around on the web.

Insurance well there's a debate! Depends on your circumstances but they are group 18 IIRC.
Mods are listed in guides but not alot can be done with the engine to give massive gains. Remap is circa 15bhp if you are lucky.
