Our 3.2 V6 (GM lump) has developed a misfire between 1000 and 2000rpm when under load.
It's gone to an independant who has reported misfire on cylinder 2.
They've swapped the coil packs about but fault remains on cylinder 2. Plugs and injectors are next.
Has anyone else had this issue. Any thoughts on cause?

There is a not cheap to fix issue with fuel delivery due to a faulty pump.

My advice would be to check a few tanks of V Power through it along with fuel system cleaner. Get the fuel filter changed afterwards.

If it's contamination, why only on cylinder 2?? Not that I'm saying you're wrong! Thanks for the advice.
If it's fuel delivery surely it would also become more of an issue at higher crank speeds? It's absolutely fine over 2000rpm

There's a thread over on AO where a chap had the same issue. All sorts of spurious codes but it came down to fuel supply not being able to meet demand.

Before I'd condemn the entire pump system, I'd give it a good clean through first.
