Has anyone managed any discount or sweeteners worth having on the Porsche main agent fixed price servicing, got a "major" with the additional brake fluid change coming up.

Do you still get discount if your a PCGB member?

Take your own oil, that'll save you about £80

Thanks gents 10% off would get it just below the £700 mark, that would make me feel better,I will look into the provision of own oil, can it really be that much different that is some mark-up!

The conventional wisdom is to get your own oil from COSCO.
Rumour has it that doing this may save you a figure of £100.

Don't know where you're based so this may or may not be of use but Porsche Centre Kendal is currently offering discounts on both major and minor services, minor is I think around £350 and major £550. Hope this helps.

Biggest part of the bill will be all the add ons, better to focus on that.

I got something like 20-25% off when I had a major done on my Cayman S in December 2011. Thread detailing the whole process here: http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f...

In summary they started out at £1050, and I paid £750, but had to pay for my own oil (so let's say I saved about £250 in total) - that was from East London OPC. I'd try Cambridge now too - back then they never replied to my email, but I've since used them for warranty work and they seemed very good indeed. Hatfield barely moved on price. Hope that helps!

I agreed a price on my last major service beforehand with OPC Bournemouth, they're very good and discounted by quite a bit - 560 pounds including poly rib belt and the replacement of a fog light bulb.

I think OPC's are like everyone else in the business now, they have to deal a bit to make money with so many good specialists out there waiting to undercut them.
