Can you get a self-build mortgage these days?

I built my house back in 08 with a self-build mortgage

At the time I was financed by Woolwich where effectively was given a credit line and could draw down the cash as needed, but Baclays/Woolwich won't now offer "development" finance products

As I was thinking of building another house do any of you know what the availability is of such a product

yes, there are still a few specialist lenders about - some geared towards just self build, and some more high street lenders lending some. first that springs to mind is "Buildstore"
