And the 'Phoenix' will return....

Around november time.....

Yup, I'm scrapping the Cerbera name...
and ripping the TVR badge off...

So if anyone wants a Leventech gold badge, I've got one up for grabs....

After a few hours of discussion, the appropriate name to give her, would be, Phoenix...

...

Ok, to put everyones mind at peace, she has been officially dropped off at the engineering firm today... she will be stripped down this week....

Thanks Joo, JSG and Craig for your confidence and support... I've always wanted to own a monster... and when the Phoenix returns I will make sure you all get to see her at a TCR event...

95lb injectors - F1R sc - 3" exhausts - Motec ECU - etc etc etc etc ..... I cant wait for the dyno-run chart when she's finished - I will make the cerbera community proud - sorry about the name change though...

Firkin 'ell. That looks one hell of an upgrade. A lot different from my £100 polished wheel nuts, and red callipers.

Cant wait to see it.

Well done.

Hope it all goes well Ash. Can't wait to see her when she returns.

I might take those gold badges off you. Do you have the front TVR and the rear Cerbera 4.5?

Any offers, just email me chaps.

These work very well we have seen alomst 30bhp a standard BMW M3 just by fitting them! nothing else was fitted no chip or air filter just the vortex system.

Good choice Ash!

Yup, the firm has been advising me on a number of potential FI enhancers... Cant wait to hear what she will sound like!!!!

Heres a picture of the forthcoming Phoenix, of course the lights will be upgraded too.... but its a little harder to photoshop that... The emblem on the bonnet will be custom airbrushed by a chap I sourced off the net, using electro-senstive mixed paint... so when the lights come on at night, the emblem will glow!!! hehehe

Is there a website anywhere that can fill me in on this system?

Cheers,

I'll try and find it, they're priced at £500 each...
excluding labour and additional parts required to mate them with your current system. They are worth it, but on a standard cerb you will notice f'all difference, because the back pressure thats there at the moment is required to create the horses she does... these will throw away the backpressure... which is the opposite of how the AJPV8 is set-up...

Hmmm, probably but I dont have my own runway, so I had to give that one a miss...

The thing is, if I sold her now, I'd get nothing for her, and I was going to jump into a yankee wagon, the mosler, but after thinking about practicality, i thought about it, and thought why not just build this into a monster, and because she's british, people do have a little more respect for her than a yankie dougnut or an italian exotica.... so I said feck it, lets not bang it up to 500bhp, or 600bhp, neither 700bhp... why not just go for the nice round 800bhp @6000rpm figure... hmmm, tasty... ok settled, of course the power curve will go beyond that, estimated upto 1100bhp... but I will get it limited to 6000rpm (for her sake and mine!).... 800break will do me fine... plus that reminds me, I have to tell them to not rev her past 6000 when they're doing the dyno runs...

Edited to say:
and thats 800RWHP@6000, at the rear wheels
Looks like I'll be stocking up on tyres...

SXS, If noone else wants the front badge, I'll happily find a home for it.

Really glad you've gone ahead with this... will be great to see/hear/feel(!) the outcome.

You not tempted to put some form of "aero package" on it? Subtle (BMW/TT style) rear lip spoiler might be nice, etc.

Ah, is this the thing?

www.regal-shop.co.uk/asps/ShowDetails.asp?id=4790

(the detail image is stunning!! )

I have to admit I find some of the claims to be a bit questionable. I utterly fail to see how fitting this in to an exhaust system will reduce emmisions, there's no chemical process mentioned in the blurb so quite how the ingoing gases become pure all of a sudden after passing through it is a mystery to me.

However, I'm willing to stay openminded on this and hope that some independent sources can verify the claims

Cheers,
Rob
