I know quite a few here don't visit many of the other forums - but best petrolhead telly I've seen in a long time.
Mods I would appreciate it if you don't delete this. If you have to could you close it and leave the link in place. Ideally please just leave it to run
First episode now on iplayer.

Hey, Longers, I have had an idea...S-club Euro-correction-World tour 2014.....SALT FEVER - Their mission to drive the fastest TVR!!!!
Well all world dominance, erm I mean tours, have to start somewhere!!!
Ah, Mr Bond, sorry Longers - I've been expecting you.
Europe today, (OK since 2010 Europe) but tomororw the world muuuuuuhhhaaaaaahhhhhaaaaa!!!!!!!!!
What a great bunch of blokes, good to know there are still a few very cleaver 'eccentrics' around to keep the world sane. Having seen both episodes I thought it was one of the best bits of telly I'd seen for a while, but then maybe I'm biased. Every record attempt is a story of great dedication, and 9 times out of ten, disappointment and failure. Made me realise that being the wrong side of 65 is'nt a bar to having a go at something totally bonkers. If you have not seen it I can recommend the film "The Fastest Indian" about Burt Munroe's record attempt.

x2Agree with above comments, great couple of programmes. Gutted for them that they had so many problems but just being there (almost) seemed enough for most of them. Would've been good to have a minute at the end to put their efforts into perspective e.g. what records were broken that week, to have seen some footage of a really fast car or bike, etc.

I haven't watched the second one yet but I did watch The World's Fastest Indian on LoveFilm because of it. I agree it is all very impressive and I must admit I'm a little jealous of all the kit they have in their workshops.
Now how difficult would it be to have an aluminium foundry in my back garden I wonder....
