Starting a few more jobs
Discussion
Hi All
I've been off forum for nearly a week following a password reset problem.
Anyway I've done just over 200 miles in the 350i now. Which doesn't sound a lot but it's 50% of what I covered in the Westfield during the whole of 2012.
All electriacals are now 100% and the windows are behaving themselves following a dose of silicone spray.
It's time to start some of the more difficult jobs, so here comes question time again.
1. Going to completely strip front suspension as there was an MOT advisory about minor corrosion. What bushes etc are required? I know some bits are Granada.
2. Side skirts are coming off for a good look at the body mounts. Looks good from underneath, but I am sure I can feel a hole. Anything I need to know about removing skirts?
3. Insurance want an imobiliser fitting. Has anyone got a link to a wiring diagram for a 1986 350i please.
4. Still really need some wheels. My byceps are coming on a treat with these daft, Cerberus wheels with 225's up font. Ridiculously heavy steering. Really interested in any wheels up for sale that are the correct offset.
That's about it for now.
Cheers Karl

Re side skirt removal - mine had a couple of difficult to see split pins holding the very front in position, looked like it came out the factory like that.
Sorry to say it but if you can see a hole in the tubing without removing them prepare yourself as it's likely to look a lot worse once the skirts are off.
