Anyone know this GT3?
Discussion
I looked at this Comfort GT3, last summer. Then the dealer sold it. Now it's back at the same dealership, 2k cheaper. The mileage is only 15k miles.. A know little more about this car that, I don't want to air on here.
I spoke to the dealer today, they said the last owner thought it was too edgy for him.
I would like to speak or know of previous owners if posssible.

They've probably kept the original one and you can swap back to it in minutes if you don't like the RS one (I know I have kept mine - they just bolt in to the standard supports). You can then sell on the RS one as they go for big money. Can't see a downside if the original is also present.

ah is this the car with the Fearnsport "history" that has never been to Fearnsport?
something doesn't quite add up with me on this one, firstly, how does anyone get a fearnsport stamp with which to knock up a fake history.
secondly if you were knocking up fake histories why would you go for one of the more known independents where it would be easy to find out the history was fake?
as for price, if it's a keeper then it's up to you OP, have the ecu checked for over-revs & the body checked for panel damage.
FYI remember the speed yellow car that went through Keighly's books? that had a lot of internet "supposed" history but no-one ever came forward with anything concrete on what it was. i only viewed it in passing & although a little rough i didn't notice anything else. i did view a photo of it that showed the under-bonnet ID sticker was missing mind, iirc a guy from down devon way sold it privately for circa £28k. gives you an idea of how much a car with supposed "history" will make.
with regards to the vendors, i was interested in a car they had in stock for months & would they get me more details or return my calls? would they bugger. strange way to run a business, i gave up after a while

... perhaps the dealer just wants somebody with money burning a hole in their pocket to turn up and buy it rather than an enthusiast asking too many difficult questions !
Treat it for what it is . A six (ish) year old car with a slightly dubious history. Approach it by getting a PPI done and if still interested a leak down test for complete piece of mind. Whether the dealer will let you is another matter. The results will then give you a platform to negotiate or walk.

I don't get everyone's fascination with the wing, it's just an RS wing. Paint the car white and give it blue wheels and we'd all be saying how beautiful it is...
I was coming from the perspective of why a different wing? Could be an "upgrade" or could mean it's had damage and repaired - do you know it's an actual RS wing? LaurasOtherHalf said:

I had the same problem last summer, when this car was for sale last time. I kept asking for verification of mileage, and no return calls, in the end it sold. I spoke to the vendor again Saturday, again I asked for the mileage verication, I'm waiting for the call today. As for the Fearnsport history. The vendor tells me Andy sold it to Matt @ Fearnsport, but Andy still does work on Porsches, but I don't know how he can use the name of Fearnsport, if he's sold itwith regards to the vendors, i was interested in a car they had in stock for months & would they get me more details or return my calls? would they bugger. strange way to run a business, i gave up after a while

I think I know what you're trying to say Neil, but for the avoidance of doubt & to clear up the "Fearnsport" (complete lack of) involvement in this car:1) This car has never been serviced by or even seen by Fearnsport, the indie based at Silverstone
2) Andy Fearns was bought out of his share of Fearnsport in 2011 by Matt, who is now the sole owner of the company
3) Matt, the owner of Fearnsport, has never owned or even seen this car.
4) The stamps in the service book that say "Fearnsport" do not bear even a passing resemblance to the stamp that Fearnsport have used since they started in 2006
5) One of the purported "Fearnsport" invoices dated in 2008 was produced by an iPad invoicing app. The first iPad was released on April 3, 2010
6) The word 'Fearnsport' is a registered trademark & no-one other than the business based at Silverstone is allowed to use it
- These comments have all been fact-checked with Matt @ Fearnsport
I am after a CS MK2 996 GT3 also. If MrDemon you are serious about selling your car please PM me with the spec/mileage etc, or if anyone else knows of a straight car with AC/radio and mileage up to 30k, standard suspension and preferably upgraded brakes I would be very interested. An RS spoiler would be welcome too!
Have been looking for 6months and it is a bit of a minefield without some inside knowledge...
