My great auntie wrote a will 10 years ago.
She stated that her estate and everything she owned would go between my dad , his 2 brothers. and my Great Aunties Niece..
When she wrote the will I was rather young but since then iv cared for her all through my teenage years and into my adult life...
It as been said by her that she now wants to leave the estate and everything for me to live in.

So theirs No Negativity with anyone while she's alive she doesn't want anyone knowing.
But her niece does have a copy of the old will...?

We are going upto the solicitors next week to create a new will.. Anyone got any advice on what they will do regarding the old one?
And what needs to be done so when the time comes. The New Will stands and the Old One Doesn't?..

Thanks smile

The new will will cancel (revoke) all previous wills, provided it is done correctly and witnessed by a solicitor or some such qualified person.

Stand by for WW3 to break out when she dies.

Where there's a will there's a relative.....biggrin

Yeah going to the same solicitor that she wrote the original out with..

and I know but its been said by all of them to me that I deserve it, in the past.

She's just rather secretive and suppose she doesn't want any falling out so late in her life.

No need for a will to be witness by a "qualified person"....or for that matter, written by one! A Will you wrote yourself and your next door neighbors witnessed would be fine if the Will was done right.

True, but in these circumstances, where you know there's going to be uproar after her death, get it done professionally.

Agree, just corrected the previous poster.
