Morning guys

Came out to start the Cerb this morning in the fine weather & noticed that the battery was completely dead. Keyfob wouldn't operate alarm & doors not activating.

So (as I leave the bonnet unlocked when I don't use her frequently), I connected the charger to charge the battery, and after about 10mins the alarm sounded.

If I keep charging the battery will I be able to get access to the car, or do I have to do something to reset the alarm/immobiliser?

CHeers,

Mike

Turn your alarm off.

When mine died I just bought another and slapped it on. Had some silly starting issues at first because of things out of sync but no problems since that was sorted.

For the price of a battery I would not fanny around.

Do you just mean, when I reconnect the battery, that the keyfob should still work, & I can then turn the alarm off & open the doors?

Yes! - charge the battery with the terminals disconnected from car. When you reconnect, if the alarm goes off, you should be able to reset it with the remote.

Going forward(assuming you have power) is to get an optimate. I plug mine in the cig lighter. All battery issues are now a distant memory.

Ok done. All working as per normal.

I was just concerned for the neighbours sake! Thanks.
