got my Ipaq working with tom Tom and its superb.

what I wanted to do now was to get the speed camera software and it seems there are loads of different options, can anybody offer a reccomendation?

Some appear to be free and others £70+ a subscription so trying to work out whats best??

www.pocketgps.co.uk/uksafetycameras.php

this works quite well ..and its quite free too !

Ive been using it for a couple months and its not yet missed a fixed site though seems less up to date with the mobile ones.

A bonus is that you can add your own wav files as the alerts so if you fancy hearing ' Thieving mother-humping scamera ahead...' you can

I'm using this aswell. No problens for me apart from the fact that the womens voice makes me laugh everytime I hear it.

"You are approaching a danger zone"

"You are breaking zee speed limit Slow Down"

(In a dodgy foreign accent)

Only problems I found is that you can only set one speed. Mine is set for 30mph, so I get warned about my speed everytime I go through the camera on the A40 at leagal speeds.

Ben

Sorry I meant to reply to this and forgot!

Anyway I'm using the above woth checkpoint and tomtom.

Make sure you start checkpoint first (it will start tomtom for you) otherwise it will not work properly.

Also have a look at the free poscode software on there, very, very handy.

Cheers

David
