upgrading frommmechanical to hydraulic brakes
Discussion
Hello all
I have a diamond back outlook bike which although a pretty cheap thing, serves me well for the riding I do.
The only problem is the clarks disc brakes it is fitted with...it has 160mm discs, but they are quite frankly, rubbish.
The shifters and brake levers are combined, but that is not a problem to change.
My only question is about mounting of the calipers.
I'm not sure if all of the monutings for the calipers and also for the discs on the hub are the same.
I'll probably look to get something like shimano, but want to know if all caliper mountings are compatible.
Any help appreciated

The mounts on the forks and rear triangle will either be IS or post-mount. You can get adapters to convert though.I have a diamond back outlook bike which although a pretty cheap thing, serves me well for the riding I do.
