Bolton is in full scale emergency grit mode.

Peppered twice with the gritters on 200% output.
Roads are like beaches.

Poor Cayman R full of sault. Heavy snow due at approx 16:00.
It's snowing in Blackpool!

Now safely back in its home garage and swapped for polo 1.4 tdi haha, what a come down :-)

Haha. I'm not one for creating havoc. I was more upset about the salt on the CR. I'll drive in snow it's just the other idiots that can't.

Bolton should be a good 6 inch in snow by friday, just before I'm due to pick up my new cayman from hartech! :-(
I seem to have such luck.

Until you've had a gritter overtake you, whilst cycling in shorts, you have no cause to complain.

That will be up North then. Never seen so many nutters in shorts and t-shirts, in a snow blizzard as on the North York moors whilst visiting the In laws. Roof down driving in a hurricane wouldn't be a problem let alone snow. too that lot. :-)

I was today (and for the last 3 days) - minus 2, foggy and with barely legal tread on the rear tyres.

Was great fun.

bks to the salt on the road. I don't care!

I wouldn't care either, except it's too cold to have our outside tap on so can't use the jet wash :-(

Well, it's not like I'll open the garage door next Saturday to find just a small mound of rust where a car once stood.....

Be careful out there, remember its not you, it's the other idiots that you have to watch out for. It amazes me how a bit of rain can turn the average drivers brain to mush, in snow it's even worse.

You lucky b*stard. What is more fun than endlessly going sideways in the snow? Some people just can't be pleased...

Carl, Pirellis of all things!

In a perverse kind of way, knowing that the back is going to step out at the merest whif of throttle with the tyres as they are, is giving me a new found confidence in what the car will do.

I'm starting to actually like the car again. smile
