Brake pad renewal problem on C180 2009

Can anyone tell me how to remove the pins for the front brake pads to be removed. I have been trying to tap them out but it looks like they are starting to actually bend.

Is there something I am missing?

Don't quote me on this but my ML needed pads and as they were seased on they needed drilled out
