Hi Guys,

can anoyone recommend a reputable/trusted company that hire 911's and the like for a week in the Essex/London area?

There's plenty about i know, but just wondered if anyone could vouch for one in particular?

Thanks

ask in the 911 forum, you may find someone willing to lend theirs - I would have my aircooled 911 but its now been shipped overseas as it just wasnt getting used, thats even with friends borrowing it for the weekend.

Try Avis Prestige. Their 'supercars' actually come from DreamCarHire, but with the added buffer of a bigger company in between which makes the whole procedure less painful, and actually usually cheaper. They must warrant a certain number of days per year guaranteed hire.

I've had a Jaguar XKR from them a couple of times, a Golf R and a Merc C Class. No problems whatsoever.

I just tried the quote system on their site, and they won't give me a porsche 911 for anything under 5 days, at a cost of over £1500.

Just out of interest, what dates are you looking at?

If its 'peak' season things are definitely more difficult. I often find the further in advance I try to book, the harder it is to get a short duration rental. Wait until closer to the time and try again, they'll have lowered their expectations by then. (Unless of course its the double bank holiday weekend and you're scuppered).

It was the weekend at the start of February I was looking at.
