I spend a hour in the morning on the train. Hour at night on train, and occasionally 5 min here and there if the telly is rubbish. The wife says its too much. Interested to see how much everyone else is on here.

Too long.

Sometimes I even sit back and think to myself "what the f*ck am I doing here? Why am I reading this?

I don't even care about this subject!"

Either it's a lot more than 5 mins here and there, or your wife is being highly unreasonable.

I explain it to the other half that as long as she chooses to exclude me from the home socialising by having soaps suchlike on the telly, I'll be on the laptop. This does not go down well. Mind you, neither does my reducing "I hear what you are saying, but it holds no interest for me" to a horizontal coffee beans signal biggrin

Pretty much this.
I use it to procrastinate for months on end, fantastic.

For me "too much" isn't marked by a length of time, but by the quality of content I'm reading.

Last week I read something about how you couldn't get the back end out on a 911 and just shut down the computer and walked off.

Sometimes I do that and won't log back on to PH for a couple of years. So much of the content is recycled, so many of the in jokes are so old, that it makes very little difference if I'm on PH for ten hours a day or not at all.

It is a daily activity checking in to Pistonheads, I look in in the morning, at lunch for about 20 odd minutes and then too long in the evening before bed.

When you discuss matters on PH with the OH have refer to PH names expecting them to know who you are on about.

I usually look on a morning when I get to work( before I start wink ) and lunch.

It passes the time and sometimes there is some right howlers on there which caused me to spit coffee all over my PC.

I prefer to sit in the background and read what other people are putting rather than posting and being shot down by the haters wink

If your missus can't understand it you are probably doing something right! My latest thinks being enfatuated with TOWIE/Made in Chelsea as well as every other soap going, as well as anything with Celebrity in the title is a worthwhile way to spend an evening!!.. Whilst simultaneously complaining if I decide to watch more than 1rugby match in a day! Can't live with them etc.. Personally I think you're an amateur! I spend most of the day at work on the classifieds and forum!

hehe Found myself doing that the other day. I said 'my mate...' and then remembered that it wasn't a mate but some stranger from PH.

When you hit What's New and have to search really hard to find a link that's still blue. At this point you may need to reconsider your true productivity for your employer tongue out

This, there are about 10-12 people who I speak to on here regularly and on facebook.

I've not actually met any of them yet (watch out SLOPES wink ) but I refer to them sometimes in my day to day life in the "real world"

I prefer here than real life, everyone pretty much thinks the same way I do.

Worrying..

this is the thing. I really think, she thinks, i should be sitting watching Corrie or st like that. Yet when i watch Wheeler Dealers or the like she sits on the phone gabbibg to her pals of mum for the whole hour!
