This is Caesar. 5 weeks old and currently still residing with his mum, dad and brothers and sisters.

Is there anything I should bear in mind when introducing him to our resident girlie, Poppy? I know we should let them meet on neutral territory to start with, but what do we do after that? Can we let them share a bed if they want to, or is it best to let them see each other but sleep in separate crates? I'm hoping he'll not inherit any of her bad habits (she's a typical lurcher!), but we'll see what happens.

And just in the interests of treating both dogs the same, he're a pic of Poppy as well. smile

"Clear off with that camera, Mum! Can't a girl get any sleep round here?" hehe

It's going to be a long 3 weeks. smile

Thanks Frank. smile He's a long-haired red German Shepherd. His dad is a red/sable long-haired GSD, this big fella:

And mum is a slightly smaller cream/sable long-haired GSD.

You bet!

We saw the whole family on Saturday - mum, dad and pups. I always wondered how people could choose just one pup from a litter, and now I still don't know the answer to that one. wink

We're really looking forward to having him here. Even Poppy knows something is up - she's been very affectionate this last few days! smile

Update: here are some more pics of him, now 6 weeks old. smile

We've booked him a space in a GSD puppy socialisation class, he's already booked in with the vet for a checkup and the first of his jabs, his little bed and collar and lead are all ready for him - all we need now is the dog. hehe
